Sister, Sister!

Miss Meggy and Wren have been pretty adorable lately. Wren has gotten to the age where she wants to do EVERYTHING that Meggy does. The fact that she's three years and 2 feet shorter does not stop her in the slightest. Wherever Meggy is, and whatever she's playing with, Wren is right there, trying to play with the same thing.

Sometimes Meggy isn't particularly gracious about this, such as when Wren tried to steal her lunch. (also, it got up to 80 degrees this day, in February!)

Usually Meggy's a good sport though. She likes Wren looking up to her, and really enjoys being helpful.

Up until about two weeks ago, Wren flat out refused to hold hands with anyone. When I took these sunday pictures though, I asked Meggy to try and hold Wren's hand - all of a sudden Wren thinks its the best thing ever! But only with Meggy. She'll let me hold her hand for a few seconds, but as soon as Meggy is available, she'll drop me like a hot tamale and latch onto her big sister.

This trip to Target had everyone around us giving the girls heart eyes. Proud Mama moment here... until Wren decided to scream her way through the checkout. As one does.

Bedtime when Daddy's not home can be difficult, but their favourite part is cuddle and sing time, right before we turn out the light. Wren thinks it's hilarious to launch right into Meggy's stomach, and Meggy likes trying to tickle Wren. Sometimes it ends well, sometimes it ends with tears, but the love they demonstrate for each other is something so special.

Wren is definitely a little sister. She finds it SO funny to try and disrupt Meggy when she's coloring, singing, dancing, helping, going to the bathroom... etc.

We went to Ikea last week, which was a disaster, but this adorable little trio walked through the showroom and got lots of comments and made my mama heart happy.

Wren wore her first pigtail to church on Sunday! Look at that little grin!

I love these two soo much, and I love watching them be great sisters to each other. As I have good reason to know, a sister is a life long friend, and I hope they love each other this much for their whole lives!
