3 Months!

Well, as of today we have a new prince of England (who looked pretty darn cute, waving at the press from his little blanket) and a 3 month old little girl in the Vance household!

"Princess" Meggy, in her Cinderella dress that was made for her by my best friend.

Margaret keeps surprising us with new things every day. Her newest things are sucking her thumb, and smiling at the silly things her mommy and daddy does. And admittedly, we do some pretty silly things to get her to smile. Lip trills are her favourite, but she'll smile at funny dances, goofy voices, or just us smiling at her when she wakes up from a nap.

She has the sweetest little toothless grins!

Meggy never really took a pacifier (I was conflicted as to whether I should let her use them, but she made up her own mind about it!), but it seems like she is going to be a thumb sucker, like her mama. She's been getting better and better about getting her hands to her mouth, and singling out her thumb from her other fingers. I have a hunch she's going to be left-handed, as she is much better at it with her left hand than her right. I know it might be a trial to get her to stop when she's older, but right now it is sooo cute to hear the smacking noises coming from her bassinet, and look in to see her contentedly sucking away.

Getting ready for bed with Daddy!

Clothes are being grown out of, and I don't know how we're going to keep up with her! She fits perfectly into her 3 month clothes, and there were a few things I had to get pictures of, even though they were quite snug. These pjs for example: they were the one piece of clothing Thomas and I bought for her before she was born, and she only got to wear them once!

Don'tcha just love the Minnie Mouse feet?!?

We have had both sets of parents come and visit in the past month, which has been loads of fun! We are so blessed to live so near to our family! Dad has come down to help with Margaret's room, which is pretty close to being done. Thomas' parents took us to one of the more popular restaurants in town,  and we went to the big Farmer's Market with Mom.

Meggy still loves going on walks, and being in the sunshine, but it's been so hot lately we haven't gone outside much. Instead, we do a lot of singing and playing.... and thanks to Meggy's Beema, we have just discovered the Disney show "Sophia the First", which is a show for kids about princesses. And you know how I love princesses!

Margaret in her "Belle" dress - also made by her Uncle Spencer!

Looking into August, this is going to be our quiet month. We are looking forward to my best friend's baby being born, and then life gets exciting from there! We have a lot of little trips planned for the end of summer, and then we get to go to California for a month! Thomas and I are really excited to be introducing Margaret to the west coast relatives on both sides of the family. We have a lot planned, and I'm praying that Meggy keeps up her easygoing temperament. She is such a good little girl, and we are so blessed!!
