Catherine is one year old!
Hello all, it's been a while!
We won't go into all that's happened in the past three months, except that my sweet Wren had a birthday!! I can't believe we have a one year old, and how much she's grown and changed just in the past three weeks since her birthday. It's like she turned one and decided to grown up all of a sudden!
I had a little photoshoot the weekend of her birthday. The poor thing was not sleeping well (a cold? Teething? growing pains? Who knows!) so the outdoor one didn't go as well as I had hoped...
Then she banged her nose on the edge of the wagon, and THAT didn't help things. So I gave up for that day.
Sunday we tried again. Little Miss still looked rather tired, but she was in a much better mood!
Crawling away as I'm yelling "No, stay there Wren, STAY THERE!" She thinks she's so funny.
Playing with Nana and Papa's present, the maracas and egg shakers. Those were and still are a huge hit.
Aaaand here's the adorable little girl we all know and love. She's started to not like headbands, so she's trying to take it off in this picture, but other than that, this is about as good as it got. Wren is just such a little toddler now! Always moving, never wanting to do what I want her to do, and being as silly as possible, every second.
Wren at one year old is very big into pointing. At everything. Especially lights and the color red. And people with brightly colored hair.
She loves her kitties so much that "kee-ka!" is really the only word she says. She's started branching out with it though, and calls all animals "kee-ka", although if I point out that it's a dog, she has a slightly different pronunciation that, I assume, means doggie.
Wren also says "Yeah?" all the time. I'm not sure how this came about, but it's very cute and I love asking her questions, just to hear the little chirp of "yeah?"
She's started standing up on her own and taking her first shaky steps. I predicted on her birthday that she'll be walking by christmas, and I still think that'll be the case. When I told that to Thomas, he said "I don't think she'll be walking by then, I think she'll be running!" Wren is such a determined little girl, and she wants to keep up with her sister so much, it wouldn't surprise me!
We love our Wren bird so very much, and we are all excited to see where this next year will take her!!

This was the best shot I got of just Wren. The poor thing just looked so tired and washed out! :(
