7 Month milestones

Look at that adorable little baby girl! You'd never know that 2 minutes beforehand she was screaming bloody murder because of her one teensy tooth that's coming though.

These two. Wren still isn't really able to play with Meggy to the extent that Meggy wants, but they're interacting more and more. Meggy is such a good big sister, she's always (usually) willing to go and help Wren when she's upset, or bring her toys to play with.

7 month old Wren is a joy most of the time. She is loving food, bread and squash is her favourite, but she also likes applesauce, avocado and baby puffs. Of course she's still nursing as well, and really enjoys that. She's gotten to the age where she starts to pull on my neckline when she's hungry, which I obviously find delightful.

Look at that sweetie.

Father's day was so much fun. I remember last year thinking how Thomas would have two little girls in his arm this year, and here they are! So sweet, and look at Meggy making a heart with her fingers. I love it.

Wren had her first experience with sand and water outside a wading pool last week! We went to Thomas's Uncle's beach house on the Rappahannack river last week. They have a nice little house - teeny, but there's a kitchen and a bunch of double beds! Here's Wren waiting for her dinner.

How adorable is this baby in her swim suit! Unfortunately, there was no need to put her into the swim suit, because as soon as her little toes touched the sand, she FREAKED out and refused to stop crying until we took her back into the grass. Eventually she got to where she'd be ok being held over the sand, but when Thomas tried to take her into the water, the same thing happened. So we mostly hung out in the grass. Wren did enjoy listening to the waves, so we spent a few naptimes walking along the beach until she fell asleep on me. Then I lay on the hammock and dozed. It was quite delightful.

Giving her Daddy all the reasons why he should never every put her in that icky sandy stuff again.

Wren is still sleeping in our room, in her pack and play. Unlike with Meggy, I haven't felt the need to put her into her own place just yet. In fact, I've talked about it with Meggy, and we decided that she and Wren are going to share a room! So now we just have to get Meggy's room painted, and decorated (something I've been trying to do for the past 8 months) and move the big crib into there, and we'll be all set. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of July.

Now that Wren is sitting up so well on her own, the girls have started taking baths together! It's absolutely adorable. Wrenny still isn't so sure about it when I first set her down, but she loooves watching the water stream out of these little cups, so Meggy does that and she calms down immediately.

Also we've been playing in the kiddy pool on the porch. Sometimes I just do this because they look so cute in their swimsuits.

Arin and her crew came for a few days over my birthday! Wren wasn't too sure what to do about another baby in the house, and Minerva did not love having her Mommy hold another baby. Hence them being as far apart as possible during this picture

Nigel did a good job of trying to take care of both Minerva and Wren. Meggy did as well, but she was more interested in playing with the babies and their toys, than in actually talking to them, like Nigel did. We all have our gifts ;)

Look at this adorable Face! This dress was one my friend Spencer made for Meggy back when she was born. The bonnet was bought for her blessing day, but now it actually fits.

Bedtime around here is never a fun time, especially when Thomas isn't here to do the bedtime routine with the girls. Meggy does her best to try and comfort the baby, but it doesn't always work.

Wren enjoys warm weather so long as it isn't too warm. She also enjoys a side of guac to go with pretty much anything she eats. As you can tell, she takes her guacamole very seriously.

Well, now that I've overloaded your screen with pictures of this adorable little girl, I'll leave you with this last picture. if you look very carefully in the bottom left corner of her mouth, you can see a teeeeny tiny little tooth.
