Our life in June

June has been a pretty busy month so far! I've finally been able to start feeling well as I've entered my 2nd trimester, We've had friends visit, family vacations, and just having fun in the sun!

Meggy's bestie came to visit us! We celebrated by taking Iliana (and her Mommy and baby sister) to Costco, where the little girls giggled as they shared a cart, and then we had a lunch of pizza and hot dogs.

Leti brought beads, and Meggy has found her new favourite activity. I have quite a few new bead necklaces and bracelets.

Thomas and myself (and Thomas's co-worker's friend) got to go to a wedding! It was a bit crammed, as the ceremony was supposed to be outdoors, but the weather (a mini hurricane!!!!!) forced everyone indoors. We had a good time, and I'm making myself get used to how exhausted I look in photographs these days. I look the way I feel.

Meggy however never looks, nor is she ever exhausted! Her favourite phrase lately is "Mama, I am so NOT tired. I not getting tired at all!"

And here she is, obviously not tired at all. Not one bit.

My birthday was absolutely lovely. So many well wishes for me, and for our growing family. And this little girl was delighted to be able to help spoil me on my special day. Meggy has such a big heart!

Being a toddler is tough. Now that we live farther from town, I try to get all my errands done in one fell swoop, lasting for quite a day. This picture was taken about 4;30pm, when we had been out of the house since about 10:30, and didn't end up getting home until about 6pm. Such a trooper!!

Swimming with Daddy! This was at the condo during our trip to Williamsburg. Meggy isn't too sure about the water this year, but by the end of her time at the pool, she had had Daddy, Aunty Victoria AND Pawpaw swimming with her.

Ever since Iliana visited, Meggy has been very big into beading. I decided to incorporate that into snack time, and just look at my fruity cheerio necklace! Meggy wasn't so much into stringing the cereal, as she was eating it. She would string a piece of cereal, and then eat it immediately.

My big helper! Now that I'm feeling better, I'm trying to make sure we've got healthy and less expensive food to eat at home. (Trader Joe's prepared foods were such great thing when I wasn't feeling up to cooking!) In this picture, Meggy is sprinkling cheese into the filling for Thomas's lunch burritos. They ended up very cheesy.

This kid. This is basically my morning, every morning.

Someone learned how to cross her eyes. Meggy thinks this picture is so funny, and cracks up every time she asks to look at it.

First movie at a movie theater! We saw Finding Dory, and it was so cute. Not as good as Finding Nemo (of course) but Meggy especially loved the character  Hank. "He's a RED octopus, and Mama he is SO SILLY! Hahahaha!"

We were able to enjoy some family time this weekend! Thomas has been studying SO hard for an upcoming registry, and we haven't seen him in about 2 weeks. He was supposed to take his exam Saturday, but the facility at which he was supposed to take it, lost electricity Saturday, so he ended up with a free day instead! We had an awesome time going to our neighborhood yard sale, then walking around the theater after we saw our movie. Love family time.

Happy Father's day to this guy! He works so hard at being a good provider, husband and Daddy. We're so proud of him and all he's accomplished, and can't wait to see what good things come to him in the upcoming work year!

Thomas and Meggy picked this our at one of the yard sales, and they spent a good two hours playing with the marbles Sunday night. It's always so much fun to watch them work together!

I had a blast undercooking barbecue chicken. I think they won the 'who had more fun'' contest though.

Happy Summer! It got up to 92 today, whew!
