9 Months and counting!

You know that feeling when you have something all set up to go, and you're so proud, and want to show everyone? Yeah? Well I had that feeling when I went to show my husband this blog post today - then found it hadn't saved, and was still stuck, pictures only, in with my drafts. Oh sigh. Let's try this again, shall we?

Wren has made it to 9 months! I keep thinking about how her year seems to be going by much faster than Meggy's did, and it doesn't help that she's gotten so many new skills in just the past few weeks. For instance - peek-a-boo is one of Wren's favourite games. She especially likes to play in in the morning, when

Of course the person Wren loves most is her big sister Meggy. She adores her big sister with her whole heart and is always watching her to see what she's gonna do next, so she can copy.

And she wants to copy everything. Big sister dances, Wren tries ti bop around to the music. Meggy sets the table? Wren crawls along the bottom of the table, trying to get on a chair. Meggy does crafts? Wren tries to eat them.

Speaking of eating, Wren LOOOVES her food! The only thing I've given her that she does not like, is Tres Leches cake. Everything else, from fish, to peas, to baby puffs, is devoured by this cute little mouth.

Also cat food.

Rebecca got married this month! We had lots of family that Wren got to meet, and even though she had a little cold the whole time, she was SO so good, and put on the charm for everyone.

Nana and Christopher were especially enamored by this cutie.

As I said, poor baby had a cold during Beka's wedding weekend, but she was so good. Luckily I had this wonderful sling to keep her cuddled close (and keep her from snotting all over other people).

She was like this for almost the entire reception.

We have been enjoying this last month of summer! It's been cool enough some days to go outside and take the girls for a ride in the wagon. They both have a great time, although Wren prefers it when Meggy is the one pulling her, and I get to follow yelling things like "Keep MOVING or Wren's going to climb out!" and "Not so fast Meggy, the wagon's going to tip over!"

Wren finds spikes in my blood pressure amusing.

Little Miss is scooching everywhere and getting into everything possible. Pens/crayons are a favourite of hers, much to Meggy's chagrin.

We got to have a little one on one time with Wren last weekend, and she was very nice about trying to settle the bill. Unfortunately we were told that we couldn't pay for dinner on cute looks alone.

Wrenny loves her books. She's starting to look at pictures, but her favourite one so far has a crinkly star in the middle. She also loves eating books, so the ones on this particular shelf have been moved up.

Brent has been a great babysitter for the past few months. We always come home to a scene similar to this. I'm pretty sure he feeds her puffs until she passes out.

Wren is such a fun little baby. She's definitely a Mama's girl, which means that she and I have a lot of quality time together. Rarely does she got to someone else for more than a few minutes without starting to cry, but when she's with me, she's the best, sweetest little babe.

Wren loves loves loves the outdoors. Whether it's sunny or windy, she really enjoys being outside.

You know how, when you're a little sister you don't always get the cool stuff the big kids get? Wren knows. She knows she didn't get the fruit snack sample that Meggy did, and it really hurt her. She didn't let it upset her Costco trip however, she just gave Meggy a stink eye, until we found the cheese danish samples.

Baby Wren is growing up so fast, and we're so enjoying watching her change and grow. I can't believe that she's going to be a year old in just 3 months!!
