June

It's hard to believe that June has gone by so fast. I feel like I just had my birthday yesterday, yet here we are with only 2 more days left!

I just wanted to share a few things we've done this month - I haven't been very good about documenting things lately, but I hope to be better. Isn't that what I always say?

Did you know that June 2nd is National Donut Day? I didn't either, but it was a nice excuse to go to our local donut club.

It's always a good day to twirl,

Or fall asleep. It's my favourite when they fall asleep at the same time.

Miss Meggy-purple-hair had a blast picking the strawberries when Arin and her kiddos came to visit!

 Look at those beautiful strawberries!!

Meggy was so proud of her strawberries - and look at that double-chin action going on!

I'll give you two guesses as to where she gets that double chin.

We came at the end of the season this year, but we will be back for more strawberries last year!

Peach ice cream was soooo yummy!!

This was as close as Wren and Minerva got to one another. They were not sure what to do with each other, but Meggy assured us that they were talking (in baby language) about how they'll be best friends forever and ever.

While Arin was here, Thomas treated us to dinner at The Melting Pot for our birthdays. Arin hadn't done fondu before, but was quite intrigued by cheese and chocolate.

It was so fun to go out just the two of us, without any kids. We're both so busy, but I really appreciated her taking time out of her busy schedule to come and visit for a few days!

Next up was a small vacation to Thomas' Uncle's riverhouse, along the Rappahannock river. It was a lovely little vacation with no internet and hardly any contact with anyone other than Thomas's family who came to visit the last two days. It was such a nice little vacation and reset.

Look at these two sweeties! Meggy and Wren are becoming such good little friends, and I love watching them interact with each other.

Thomas's brother and his family are back from Belgium! Meggy got to play with her cousins for the first time since she was a year old. She and Hailey are exactly 11 months apart, and they played together so well. Both of them have big imaginations and patience for playing with little teensy toys.

Filling the bird feeder at Grandma's house.

Meggy is very, VERY excited about her Aunty's wedding in August, and she LOVES her flower girl dress! It's pink, purple and very twirly which were all her requirements.

Look at this happy baby!! You'd never ever know that she absolutely hates the sand and water and anything related to them.

Aunty Rachel is the coolest! She was so patient with Meggy in the water, and tried very hard to get Wren to appreciate the sand and water. It didn't work, but Rachel did get some giggles.

July is here and we've got a lot going on this month. Stay tuned!
